| The Village is seeking residents or groups with a love of gardening to Adopt-a-Landscape Bed in our residential community. |

| Our community enjoys over 115 landscape beds throughout the Village. Residents, visitors, bicyclists, and joggers benefit from the beauty of the many decorative bushes, ornamental grasses, and numerous flowers. |

| We are now seeking residents interested in "adopting" a landscape area near their home. Adopters will collect litter from beds, provide water during dry periods, and provide light weeding of the beds. The Village's contractor will perform the arduous work associated with bed maintenance including mulching, edging, pruning, and heavy weeding of the bed. Our contractor will also repair damaged plant material and replace dead plant material in the landscape bed. |

| The adoption period is for one year beginning in the spring of 2005 and renewable annually. If you are interested in adopting a landscape bed, please phone Public Works at 847-734-8800. If you have a landscape bed that you would like to adopt, let us know the location - or when you call the Department, we can work with you on deciding a location that needs your care. |
