On July 18, 2006, the Board of Health & Community Services Board were merged to form a single group: The Health & Community Services Board.

The Health & Community Services Board generally meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, except July and December.

The Health & Community Services Board makes recommendations to the Mayor and Board of Trustees regarding environmental and personal health services and social policy issues.

The Health & Community Services Board works closely with the Department of Health and Community Services.
